Patrick Simmons
Houston, Texas / New Orleans, Louisiana
Patrick Simmons, more widely known as Lah Pat, continues to defy the odds. Born in New Orleans and relocated to Houston after Hurricane Katrina, Pat grew up in a musical family as the oldest of three siblings. Influenced by his singer aunt and choir director uncle, he developed an unwavering love for music at an early age. In 2011, at only 16 years old, Pat was sentenced to eight years in prison. During his incarceration, he used singing as a form of catharsis and dedicated himself to writing and perfecting his craft. His artist moniker evolved from his childhood nickname 'Lil Pat'. Following his release, he rose to prominence with the viral success of his hit single 'Rodeo' in 2022, which was followed by a high-profile remix featuring Flo Milli in 2023. Known for his resilience and melodic innovation, Lah Pat continues to build a legacy with his 'new-age swing music'.
New-age swing music that marries smooth R&B with hip hop influences, characterized by melodic flows and Southern charm.
